Introducing adesso Cologne
Near the Südstadt district on the banks of the Rhine
adesso’s Cologne office is close to the Südstadt district of the city on the banks of the Rhine. An important detail for all Rhinelanders is that the office is on the left-hand side of the Rhine! Especially in the summer, the proximity to the Rhine can be enjoyed from the adjacent promenade and the roof terraces on the sixth and tenth floors.
The Südstadt is one of the main destinations for the Cologne Carnival. adessi like to celebrate the start of the street carnival on Weiberfastnacht (Women’s Carnival Day) with a visit to the local brewpub. The floor-to-ceiling windows at the office provide adessi with a great view of the activity on the Rhine. Commercial vessels, day-trip boats, jet-skis and more can all be seen making their way along one of Germany’s major waterways. Every Friday, sport fans from the office meet up for a weekly football evening. There is also a beach volleyball court nearby and an adesso running club.
Did you know? adesso has had two locations in Cologne since 2020. adesso experience GmbH is based in the district of Bickendorf on the site of the former umbrella factory (Wilhelm-Mauser-Strasse 14-16, 50827 Cologne) with a tremendous view of the surrounding countryside. While other offices have table football, we offer table tennis and an outdoor area with a barbecue – the best way to celebrate the end of the working day with other adessi.
Culinary highlights:
As is typical of the Südstadt district, the office is close to numerous restaurants, shops, bars and pubs. If you like enjoying good food by the river, you will feel right at home in the modern Hafenviertel close to the trendy Südstadt. Food for many different tastes is just a short walk away: quick dishes from L’Osteria or Bona’me, the Mauel bakery with a varying range of warm takeaway lunches, ice cream parlours, award-winning cuisine in the Ox & Klee, the adjacent Johann Schäfer beer garden with a view of the Rhine, cafés and modern food concept restaurants such as the Greek restaurant Limani, which also has a terrace with a view of the Rhine.
Every Thursday, adessi order their lunch via koeln-hunger@adesso.de from a different takeaway service each week. The relevant information is sent out to all Cologne adessi on Thursday morning. Food trucks are also ordered from time to time for exclusive use by adessi.

After work:
The Rhine embankment promenade is a wonderful place for a walk, a quick jog, a bike ride or to simply get some fresh air and enjoy the end of the working day. The skate park and beach volleyball court right next door are a popular meeting place for fans of the outdoors.
Film buffs can walk to the open-air cinema and enjoy an unforgettable night on the riverbank. The Südstadt also has a wide range of pleasant beer gardens and brewpubs serving the local Kölsch beer.
