Our office in the tri-border area
The Aachen office is in a central location with excellent transport links – the Ludwig Forum bus stop is right in front of the entrance. From there, it’s just under 20 minutes by bus to Aachen Main Station or to RWTH Aachen University. The nearest motorway junction is less than 1 km away, as is the pedestrianised zone in Aachen city centre.
Aachen is not only an important hub of research and IT thanks to the university and adesso – it’s also a big player in the German confectionery industry. The adessi in Aachen are particularly fond of their poker tournaments, and like to go all-in while enjoying goulash and Kölsch beer.
Not far from our location is one of the market leaders in German confectionery, the chocolate producer Lindt, which has a factory store for everyone with a sweet tooth. The area around Jülicher Strasse offers all the culinary delights you could possibly want: from the bakery on the corner to the Vietnamese restaurant in the next street. There are always plenty of new things to discover.
The Carolus Therme spa complex is on the next street, offering an oasis of calm after a busy day at work. The 264-metre Lousberg hill gives you a wonderful view of the whole city. Relax on a hammock and watch the sun go down. Sports fans among the adessi can discover everything that’s on offer in “Die Halle”, including bouldering, parkour, ninja warrior, trampolining, gym equipment, beach volleyball and beach soccer. The Ludwig Forum museum of international art, the Elisenbrunnen with its natural hot springs and, of course, Aachen Cathedral (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) are always worth a visit too.
